Description
Robin completed her PhD in Vision Science at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Optometry, with her research focused on older adults and glaucoma and the effects of vision loss on occupational performance in December 2020. Robin also completed her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from UAB (2004) and this was followed by the Graduate Certificate in Low Vision Rehabilitation in 2005. She is currently on faculty in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Covey College of Allied Health Professions at University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. Prior to joining the faculty at USA, she spent over 7 years working at the UAB Center for Low Vision Rehabilitation, working as OT and O&M serving mostly adult clients with varying degrees of vision loss. She received her Specialty Certification in Low Vision from AOTA in 2018. She also gained certification in orientation and mobility through ACVREP in 2013 and has maintained this certification since then
