Retinal Research Realities – a fresh look at an old problem

R150.00

Research into the retina and avenues of intervention for retinal degenerative conditions has been the focus of Ophthalmologists, Geneticists and Biochemists for the past 40 years. Despite tremendous progress in the understanding of the complexities of visual transduction and the linking of some 300 genes to various retinal conditions, only one gene specific treatment has been registered. This presentation highlights the hope and the hype of realistic progress in this field for the near future.
